A workshop solely for people of color (POC) by POC: How to Navigate the Social Service Field While Being a POC. 

Many times, we, as POC, experience oppression, microaggression and discrimination within the social service organizations we work in. There never seems to be anyone like us to provide guidance on how to navigate and deal with these matters. Well, now there is!
​Come and learn from other POC, who have been in the field for many years, on how to work in the social service arena while trying to maintain your identity, sanity and voice.
Who should attend this workshop? POC who are new to the social service field - experienced social service workers are also welcome to attend. 
Who qualifies as a person of color (POC)? Someone who is non-white and agrees with Loretta Ross’ definition (see the video below).
