Violence and the Pedagogy of Terror in Mexico and Central America

Rosalva Aída Hernández Castillo is an anthropologist and activist who lived for fifteen years in Chiapas. She is the author of twenty-two books and the recipient of the Martin Diskin Oxfam Award for activist research. Castillo is currently a Professor and Senior Researcher at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies in Social Anthropology in Mexico City.
