Break Bread Chicago 2018

  • The Chopping Block 222 Merchandise Mart Plz, Ste 107, Chicago, Illinois 60654 (map)

You are invited to join 100 Chicagoans from different backgrounds, cultures and faiths as we make and break bread together. We will cook together, dine, build understanding, and forge new friendships. Wear comfortable clothing for the kitchen. Cooking lessons, food, beer, wine, soft drinks and new friends are included in the ticket price.

All proceeds will support the following organizations that serve refugees here in Chicago:
- GirlForward
- Syrian Community Network

These non-profits will have tables at our event to show their work and accept tax-deductible donations by cash, check or credit card.

About Break Bread Chicago:
Break Bread Chicago brings together Chicagoans of different faiths, cultures, and communities to share a meal, foster personal connections and friendships, and raise awareness and money to support the most vulnerable people in our great city.

Founded in 2017, our long-term goal is to have an annual dinner in Chicago, that grows larger each year. We strive to cultivate meaningful, positive connections outside our everyday social groups. We want to raise money that will nourish those local non-profits that serve our neighbors in need.
