PSC is honored to welcome Bassem Kawar, an Arab-American community organizer and member of the U.S Palestinian Community Network (USPCN). Kawar will speak about his recent trip to Palestine, where he met with grassroots activists across Palestinian society resisting Israeli settler-colonialism and military occupation.
During his trip with other members of USPCN, Kawar traveled from 1948 Palestine to the West Bank, from refugee camps to Palestinian Bedouin communities. He met with Palestinians across generations resisting through diverse means, from the realm of art and culture to the preservation of memory and history.
Join us as Kawar talks about these experiences, highlighting the brutality with which Palestinian communities are faced as well as their perseverance and dreams. He will also inform those of us living in the United States about how we can meaningfully contribute to the cause of Palestinian liberation.
