Panel & Discussion

Join Chicago-based artists of color & Black artists for PART TWO of a conversation on how we use art as a tool of resistance and survival in these trying times. This time, there's plenty of room AND a community healing component before the panel discussion! Check out the schedule below!

This month, we'll be discussing:
- How do we find healing through our art and resistance work?
- How can we practice both self and community care?
- What are the radical roots of art & healing, and how can we bring that into our resistance work?
- How do we practice healing & care while the world is on fire?

Mia Lahoz (Axis Lab)
Juan-Carlos Perez (Chicago ACT Collective)
Kara Lyn Rodriguez (FTP Artists Collective)
Tesh Silver (FTP Artists Collective)

Silvia Inés Gonzalez (Chicago ACT Collective)

WHO WE CENTER: We strive to challenge mainstream, dominant narratives by uplifting and supporting the efforts of those existing at the margins of the margins, including people of color, Black queer and trans women, femmes, abundant bodies, indigenous, undocumented, disabled, poor, disenfranchised peoples in our city and our world. Please keep that in mind when being in the event space. Thanks!
